Woodlands Rugby Volunteering with The Woodlands Interfaith Church

Woodlands Rugby proudly joined forces with the Interfaith Church of The Woodlands and Keith Weaver for the “Service Our Seniors” day.  It is a program that helps senior citizens in the community with items around their home.  Woodlands Rugby was able to split up and take 6 different properties on the day, the most by any single organization at the event.

 

Hats off to those players that lent a helping hand in our fine community.  Let it be noted that several guys tried unsuccessfully to get there due to a scheduling snafu, The Woodlands Marathon kicked off on the same day.  The traffic & road closures were daunting to say the least.

 

Thank you to all from Woodlands Rugby who gave their time to our most valuable commodity – our seniors.

Woodlands Rugby trains twice a week, Monday and Wednesday, from 7pm to 9pm at Alden Bridge Sports Park. Please check the MAPS for directions to the pitch. All players, regardless of experience level, are encouraged and welcome!  Practice for the 2012-2013 15′s season will begin with touch/sillies on Wednesday, September 5, 2012.
